Before & After School Program (age 5 - 13)

Our B&A program provides developmentally appropriate, values-based activities that help children grow physically, emotionally and intellectually, help children develop a healthy self-esteem, feel part of a group, and learn how to get along with others.

Program hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to the start of school; and school dismissal to 6:30 p.m. (Times may vary due to individual school schedules.)

The YMCA provides the program all day on some teacher in-service days and other days that school is not in session. Seperate camps will be offered on Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Fall and Spring Breaks.

Fridays with the Y

The YMCA of Pueblo is partnering with Pueblo School District 70 to provide quality, affordable options for students K-6. Make your child’s Fridays fun and interesting in an environment of hands-on learning and personal development.

Mornings will be spent in instructional areas which students will rotate through. These instructional areas will offer age appropriate activities that will give your child an opportunity to learn while having a great time! Options may include theater and dance, rotating sports clinics, arts and crafts or technology. Afternoons will be club time where children will learn new skills from community volunteers and high school mentors. Clubs such as math and science, crocheting, cooking and rocket building give children the opportunity to ask questions, be creative and explore the world around them. Participants can finish their day relaxing with a book, getting help with homework or playing board games together. There will be monthly field trips that give children new opportunities and experiences.

Our Fridays program will incorporate the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We believe that these values are vital to the growth and development of healthy children.
