Book Club is a great way to expand your horizons, improve your reading skills, promote learning, and enjoy stimulating conversation while building lasting relationships. Thank you to the Pueblo City-County Library District for partnering with our YMCA to provide the following selection:
September's pick: "The Violin Conspiracy" by Brendan Slocumb. This month, we're jumping on the "All Pueblo Reads" train and all the fun activities at the libraries surrounding it! In this month's book, Ray McMillian has a gift and a dream. He is determined to become a world-class professional violinist. But on the eve of the renowned Tchaikovsky Competition, his priceless violin is stolen and a ransom note for five million dollars left in its place. It's a race to not only reclaim his precious violin, but prove to himself and the world that no matter the outcome, there has always been a truly great musician within him.

Monthly Potluck

Who: All ages invited! Non-members are welcome!
Theme: "Happy HOWL-o-ween!"
Join our pack as we celebrate all wolves from fictitious to factual! The creative crowd might dress as their favorite wolf or keep it simple and dress in our hometown colors of red and blue in support of the CSU Pueblo Thunderwolves! Our monthly pot luck starts at 12:00pm the SECOND Friday of every month in our Community Rooms. Please bring a dish to share. Less desserts, more savory foods.

This inviting and safe space allows you to share your writing, reflect, and be inspired by others. Whether you're journaling life stories, crafting poems, or exploring new ideas, Writers Corner offers encouragement, connection, and the joy of putting words to paper.

Join us every Wednesday from 11:00am-3:00pm in the YMCA's Community Rooms for Creative Corner! This is a welcoming space where adults come together to share their hobbies and spark inspiration. Bring your own supplies and enjoy an afternoon of creativity, conversation, and community. Whether you paint, draw, knit, crochet, quilt, bead, stamp or scrapbook—or simply love trying new crafts—you’ll find friends and fun waiting for you!
