Working at the YMCA Camp Jackson is more than a job...
It's an opportunity to find a sense of purpose, inspire others, build authentic friendships and impact the world for the better. Our staff becomes a family every spring, summer, and fall as we lead youth and families through meaningful outdoor experiences. Our mission is to empower youth with the skills and values necessary to contribute positively to the world. A job at Camp Jackson will encourage personal growth and development, teach you a wide range of useful skills, and you will feel fulfilled knowing that you are actively working towards making the world better by providing a kind, safe, and empowering environment for kids and families to connect with themselves and with nature.
YMCA Camp Jackson is owned and operated by the YMCA of Pueblo. Camp Jackson was founded as Camp Crockett in 1916. Our 320 property in the San Isabel Mountains just north of Rye, Colorado has served Southern Colorado kids and families for over 100 years. We offer Outdoor Education programs for student in May and September. Our Summer Camp season serves up to 800 campers ages 7-17 from June-August. We host an annual Escape Run 5k, two Family Camps, and a Women's Wellness Weekend.
As Camp Jackson staff you will be extremely active. Your job will include hiking, playing, climbing, singing, dancing, cleaning, lifting, working with horses, and most importantly supervising and caring for kids and serving as a role model. We spend most of our time outdoors and problem solving and collaboration are critical skills of all of our staff.
