Fall at the YMCA of Pueblo brings a fresh season of growth, connection, and community. From youth sports like soccer, volleyball, and flag football to Fall Family Camp, Walk With Ease, and special events like Moonlight on the Mountain, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Kids can wrap up their summer with our Track & Field Camp, and families can stay active together through engaging programs and fun-filled weekends. Whether you're getting back into routine or starting something new, the Y is your go-to destination for a fall full of energy, inspiration, and lasting memories.

Youth Sports

FALL YOUTH SPORTS

AGES 3-14 | SEASON (6 GAMES) SEPTEMBER 20-OCTOBER 25

Keep your kids active this fall with Volleyball, Soccer, and Flag Football! At the YMCA we utilize volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun. With each practice and game participants learn new important skills that allow them to grow! Teaching the values of good sportsmanship, teamwork, goal setting, and skill development.

Full scholarships are offered seasonally in flag football, soccer, and volleyball youth sports leagues. To be eligible, participants must be 4-14 years old, a resident of Pueblo County and complete our application below.

Join us this fall at YMCA Camp Jackson for a memorable weekend full of adventure, laughter, and connection! From September 12 to 14, our scenic campgrounds will be transformed into a hub of family fun and outdoor excitement. Our friendly staff will facilitate activities for your family, you can choose exactly what interests you, all meals and lodging are included. This is the perfect opportunity to unplug, reconnect, and make cherished memories with your loved ones. Surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall and the natural beauty of YMCA Camp Jackson, you'll experience a weekend of adventure, bonding, and pure joy.

MOM SON DANCE

OPEN TO ALL AGES | SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 8

Follow the Yellow Brink Road to the YMCA's 2nd Annual Mom Son Dance! All ages are invited to a magical evening in the Emerald City! Join us Saturday, November 8, 2025, for a Wizard of Oz-themed Mom Son Dance that's full of fun, laughter, prizes, and unforgettable memories. Dress to impress and step onto the Yellow Brick Road as you enjoy dancing, games, photo ops, and themed activities that will transport you over the rainbow!

6th Grade Membership

FREE 6TH GRADE MEMBERSHIP

JUNE 2025 - JUNE 2026

All sixth-graders in Pueblo County receive a FREE youth membership to the YMCA of Pueblo for one full year! The school year membership runs from June to June (i.g. student has completed 5th grade and is going into their 6th grade year); students may sign up at any time. Interested students, please visit us at 3200 E Spaulding Avenue and bring with you a valid school ID and a parent or guardian.

The Y's goal is to give all adolescents a safe space to have positive social interactions and healthy activities while transitioning from elementary to middle school. Children Aged 12 years and older are welcome to be in the facility on their on own for a max of 4 hours per day.

CPR Class - Graphic

CPR/FA/AED CLASSES

Adult Only Courses

Learn Adult Child, and Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED skills at the YMCA. This class will have both hands-on and lecture components. Lecture components will be done online prior to attending the class. You must pass an in-person skills test. At the end of this class, you will receive a two-year certification from the Red Cross.

Family Courses

The parents will receive a FA/CPR certification, the children will learn basics during the class. We feel it is important for all members of a family to know what to do in case of an emergency. We will go over those basics. Parents will be asked to provide an email for each parent to receive the online training and then the class time will be to test your skills. More Courses TBA

Escape Trail Run 5k

Saturday, August 9 | YMCA Camp Jackson

Race Info:
Located in Rye, CO, this race challenges runners/walkers on a 3.1 mile trail that takes you on a journey of over 1,000 feet in elevation gain! Bring your friends and family along to get the ultimate tour of Camp Jackson! Nestled in our 320 acres of beautiful San Isabel National Forest, our 5k Escape Run will take you on the most scenic tour of our YMCA Camp Jackson property in Rye, CO! Filled with twists, turns and 1,000ft in elevation gain; you'll be sure to challenge your limits while escaping from the fast pace of the city for a day. Race cost covers and includes: registration, T-shirt, and a pancake breakfast offered after the race in our camp dining hall.

Family Nerf Wars

OPEN TO ALL AGES | 5:30pm-7:00pm

Family Nerf Wars will be held the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month through August 15 (Does not include July 4). Get ready for an action-packed family showdown! Join us for Family Nerf Wars, where parents and kids team up in a friendly battle of foam dart fun. Bring your favorite Nerf blasters and we will provide the darts! This exciting event is perfect for all ages and skill levels. Whether you're dodging darts or defending your base, it's a night full of laughter, strategy, and unforgettable memories.

Walk With Ease

OPEN TO ALL AGES

Join us this fall for Walk With Ease, a nationally recognized walking program designed to help reduce arthritis pain and improve overall health. Kicking off in September, participants will walk together at various scenic locations around Pueblo including the beautiful new Dr. Bruno DeRose Track & Field at the Y, the Riverwalk, and more!

While the program is especially beneficial for those with arthritis, you don’t need to have arthritis to join! Whether you're managing joint pain or simply looking to stay active and healthy, this program is for you.

Fall Swim Lessons

OPEN TO ALL AGES STARTING AT 6 MONTHS

Just because the summer sun is setting doesn’t mean water safety takes a break! At the YMCA, swim lessons are offered year-round because learning to be safe and confident in the water is always in season.

Our fall swim lessons are open to all ages and abilities starting as early as 6 months old and are designed to teach essential water safety skills, build confidence, and encourage lifelong healthy habits.

We offer a variety of lesson formats to fit your needs, including group lessons, private lessons, and semi-private lessons. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your strokes, fall is the perfect time to dive in. Stay safe, stay active, and keep swimming with the Y!

AGES 6 THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR

Looking for a well-rounded way to support your homeschooler’s physical and social development? The YMCA’s Homeschool Recreation Program offers a fun, engaging environment where kids can learn, move, and grow—mind, body, and spirit!

Designed for ages 6 through High School Senior, this program includes a wide variety of activities to spark curiosity and build healthy habits:

  • Physical Education to develop coordination, fitness, and teamwork

  • Art to inspire creativity

No school? No problem! When school takes a break, the Y steps in with Bonus Days a fun-filled, interactive, and educational experience for kids. Perfect for holidays, teacher workdays, or any day school is out, Bonus Days keep your child engaged in a safe and supportive environment.

We partner with local school districts to provide quality, affordable care that gives parents peace of mind and kids a day packed with activities, learning, and fun. From games and crafts to physical activity and new friendships, every Bonus Day is a day well spent at the Y!

AGES 3-6

The Preschool Plus Program at the YMCA offers a nurturing and engaging environment for children ages 3 to 6. Run by licensed professionals, this program provides both all-day care (5+ hours) and part-time options, making it easy to find a schedule that works for your family. Preschool Plus is the perfect complement to our traditional Preschool Program! Families can choose to enroll in one or both for a more comprehensive early learning experience.

Through age-appropriate activities, social play, and structured learning, kids build confidence, independence, and school readiness skills in a fun, supportive setting. All children must be potty trained to participate. Give your preschooler the tools to thrive with Preschool Plus at the Y!

Race Info:
Join us for the 2nd Annual Spooky Sprint 5k! Embrace the chills at this evening race for a hauntingly good time! Wear your costume, eat some candy, and run! This 5k event will take place at the YMCA of Pueblo, 3200 E Spaulding Avenue at 4:00pm on Saturday, October 25th. NO SAME DAY RACE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE!

Turkey Trot

Thursday, November 27 | 9:00am

Race Info: The Turkey Trot is an anticipated holiday event of the season and is a fundraiser for the YMCA. This fundraiser enables us to provide scholarships to local families in need, which, in turn, allows them access to the YMCA and its many programs. A FREE kids 1k will take place for youth 12 years and younger at 8:15am. No registration required. The 5k event will take place at the YMCA of Pueblo at 9:00am on Thanksgiving Day. This 5k event will take place at the YMCA of Pueblo, 3200 E Spaulding Avenue at 9:00am on Thursday, November 27th. NO SAME DAY RACE REGISTRATION AVAILABLE!

Climb to new heights with YMCA youth climbing lessons for ages 6-12! This exciting sport helps kids build strength, confidence, and valuable life skills like teamwork and perseverance, all while having a blast. Climbing isn't just about reaching the top of our 44ft climbing wall. It's about learning, growing, and building a strong foundation for success! Join us for our Fall Sports Pre-Camp on August 29 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Dr. Bruno DeRose Field! This community event is the perfect kickoff to the season designed to teach the rules, build skills, and connect athletes of all ages. Whether you're new to the game or gearing up for fall league play, you'll meet potential teammates, learn from volunteer athletes and coaches, and discover the why behind the Y sports philosophy. We may wear different colors, but we all play for the Y.

Women's Wellness Weekend

AGES 18+ | SEPTEMBER 26-28, 2025

Escape the typical demands and stresses of life for a full weekend of peace, connection, community, and joy. The beautiful mountains of San Isabel National forest is the perfect setting. Camp Jackson provides all meals, programs, and lodging. All women ages 18 and up are welcome to enjoy this break in the mountains. Programs include: High Ropes Course, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Yoga, Meditation, Jewelry Making Classes, Self Defense Classes, Campfire, Exercise Classes, Arts & Crafts, Sourdough Workshop, and more!

During your stay you make the weekend work for what you need. All activities are optional so that you can experience the perfect amount of rest or adventure to fill your soul.

Get into the fall spirit at our Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree! Bring the whole family and join us for a festive evening of pumpkin painting, creativity, and seasonal fun on Saturday, October 25.

Each family will receive a pumpkin to decorate together — whether you go spooky, silly, or sparkly, it’s all about making memories (and masterpieces) together. We’ll provide the paint, brushes, and good vibes you bring your imagination! Costumes are welcome, and fall treats may make an appearance too! Besides being played for fun or competition, table tennis can be of great support to people experiencing cognitive decline and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and ADHD.

  • Achieve improvement in motor function and  disability status in people with Multiple Sclerosis.
  • Achieve improvement in both motor and non-motor symptoms in people with Parkinson’s Disease.
  • Avoid further mental decline, without the use of medications, in people with Mild Cognitive Impairment

Neuropong is completely FREE and requires no equipment! Just wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can move around in. We kindly ask that you check-in with our YMCA Membership Team at the front desk before participating.
